Myths and their Facts in Motivation.
Myths and their Facts in Motivation. | If you are feeling depressed and want to get motivated and you have tried everything but that's not enough then this article is for you because in this article I am going to tell you about some myths of motivation that are stopping you to get motivated.

Myth: Motivation is Just like using will power

Fact: If the going gets rough there may be occasions when you have to put your shoulder to the grindstone. However, if your journey is only pushed by will power, you are very likely to tire and it's unlikely you will succeed.

If you are clear about why that you want to reach your destination, together with a real urge to get there, then you may employ your inspiration instead of relying on will power alone. Without engaging your emotions and feelings (the subconscious and the limbic part of your mind ), you must work much harder. Inspiration is more powerful than sweat.

Myth: When you are motivated it gets easier and easier

Fact:"The older Gods will constantly come and challenge you in the border of this country that you are leaving". You wish to modify something and move from a current situation, in order to achieve a goal. For most people there is a point which is known as the stage of greatest resistance. It is often when you are least expecting it. All of a sudden something brings you back and stops you from moving forward. This can be just before you are going to succeed. Why? Much like being tied to an elastic band, the further you go away the more powerful the pullback. The point of greatest resistance occurs before the elastic band breaks and you barrier ahead.

At some point the'cover' off, the'advantage' of never'travelling' any further motivates you over the destination. Well engrained habits have a whole lot of pullback power. This part of you that is attached to the old habits will pull you back (especially after 3-4 months and then again at a later point ) since it doesn't wish to lose those'benefits'.

When you would like to move to some other way; a new world or a new country so to speak, the old customs will often attempt to call you back. This is only one of the most important aspects to understand in the motivation process, however it's frequently not addressed in hot motivation info.

Why would that portion of you that just wants to'stay home' and blob in front of the TV get excited and co-operate with another part of you who wishes to actively pursue your objectives? You have to negotiate with these various and often conflicting aspects on your own so that they come on board. As soon as you understand and effectively address the pullback factor, you are far more likely to succeed.

Myth:People do think they can't get Motivated

Fact: Believe it or not you are constantly motivated. Is a teenager lazy for not wanting to clean up her or his space? NO! Their motivation just lies elsewhere. They might be motivated to go out with their pals, play video games or even sleeping. They value these things considerably more than tidying up their room. There's always motivation, although occasionally the motivation'motion' might not automatically go in a way that's constructive or useful.

So the next time you feel you are'lazy' replace that thought with, I am not motivated. Labelling your self or others as'lazy' is quite unhelpful. Labelling something or someone means it is a fait accompli (an irreversible fact). There's not anything much you could do about it. Exploring exactly what does and what does not inspire you is the secret to fixing motivation.

Myth: You have got to try harder

Fact: A True indication of insufficient motivation is when we use the term'attempt'.' I will try' means I am not really committed but I believe I'should' be. Rather than choosing to do something because we actually wish to, we give it a try. Perhaps you have met somebody that's been attempting to quit smoking? Answer one question: Do they or do not they smoke? The solution is they are still smoking. If they weren't they would not be trying to give this up, they would have done it. How well do you think it works for those who feel you'should' give up smoking,'if' lose weight,'if' drink less or'if' exercise more, when you don't actually need to?

The problem is with the consequence of the word trying. Trying means it is not happening because there is not a business decision or commitment made. I know people who've made an extremely clear, firm and conscious decision to smoke, despite knowing the risks. Why? They stopped the battle.

Make your mind up, think about the cost-benefits and make a decision. The distance between doing and not doing is called ambivalence. Continuously dancing'that the ambivalence dancing' is quite tiring, disempowering and ultimately does not get you everywhere. Quit trying; just do it or don't! Ultimately it is that simple.

Myth : Whatever you need is a destination, motivation and inspiration

Fact: You need to keep on course to reach your destination, but in case you haven't got a map, then what course are you on? Without a strategy it's much too easy to stray from the planned destination, your planned goal. In case you haven't obtained a fantastic map or navigation system you may discover that all of a sudden you have come back into this place you started from.

Having a system that keeps you focused and on the ideal track is extremely important, especially during times when your motivation is reduced. Having a clear vision of your destination, understanding where you are at and keeping track of your journeys and advancement is one of the most essential aspects as it encourages you and leads one to act.

This is such a significant and fundamental element of attaining what you wish to attain, yet it's most likely one of the most failed. There is so much information about motivation yet frequently the most essential facets are absent. A lot of people, products and books can inspire you and get you in your way, but that is the easy part. Then you're left to your own devices and this is the reason why most people do not stay the course or reach their intended destination.

Determining where you need to go and understanding the all-important why factor in addition to having access to practical tools, resources and support to help get you there (from begin to finish) is what people must be successful. With this in mind, using a specifically tailored system that will help you stay on track is the most beneficial tool one can use.

Various studies have revealed that people who set goals regularly achieve more in life than people who don't. Not only do people will need to be clear about exactly what they need, they need to create an environment for success and accomplishment; an environment that supports and guides themkeeps them focused and on the ideal track.
